Cat Scratch Fever

Some people have a way of marking their territory that ... well ... people who are ... not ... territorial often do not see nor understand.

Its is much like the ways of a cat, simple in its characteristics. (Feline regardless of terra: ... by earthan standards; a cat, on Gor; a larl.)

A cat will weave figure eights around your ankles, playful, non combative but none the less leaving their mark. It will perch itself in such a way that the glands of its forehead contact your hand, your cheek, your forehead emitting such a subtle musk that all other felines can sense it though you are unaware of its presence. There is that invitation offered by the rise of the chin, exposure that gives you want to scratch .. yes thats it .. right... there and you come away coated in the oils of those glands. Those glands are along the tail, on each side of their head, on their lips, base of their tail, chin, near their sex organs. Any contact will do. It is even between their front paws, so a pat, rasp or slash with those claws leaves the territorial imprint that screams .. this is all mine. Get the picture?

I am not very territorial nor am I a cat or a larl so it often makes me stop and scratch my head when I see other people being ... cattish.

I hadn't given thought to all of this for a long time but several events in the following hand would jump up and smack me hard enough to step back and ask ... what was the true motivator behind it all?
